- Create a travel brochure using a word processing and a graphics program.

- resources used (at least 3 different sources)
- visual presentation/layout of brochure
- brochure includes all aspects as outlined in project details
- effort into project
- effort to reproduce in own language, without literal copying from sources

needed tools

- library reference books to gather information (text and
graphics)
- information pamphlets from travel agency to gather
information (texts and graphics)
- browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape or Opera to
search for information on the web (text and graphics)
- word processor such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, WordPad to
produce the text and insert the pictures
- graphic software to prepare the graphical elements

- Use the information collected to create a travel brochure about the chosen place.
Pupils should include:
- geographical information about the place
- typical details
- information about 2-3 specific places to visit
- detailed information about a middle-class hotel (location, prices, contact information)
- a visually interesting brochure
- a balanced combination of text and graphics

technical details

- Pupils are free to decide upon the size and shape of the brochure.
- They may use any additional or alternative tools they see fit for
the purpose of designing or creating the brochure.
